Privacy Policy

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy explains what data OfferMachi collects when you browse deals, sign in, earn coins, or receive notifications — and how that data is used, shared, retained, and protected. It covers the OfferMachi website (offermachi.com) and the OfferMachi mobile app (com.offermachi.app) on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Using OfferMachi means you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: name, email, and profile image when you sign in with Google.
• Reward data: coin balance, pending coins, tracked deal count, and redemption history.
• Deal interaction data: clicked deal ID, source store, timestamp, and referral metadata.
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate region, collected through standard web logs. In the mobile app this includes device model and OS version.
• Notification data: a push notification token if you opt in to deal alerts.
• Preferences: settings such as light/dark theme and saved deals, stored on your device (browser storage or app storage) or your account.

3. Why We Collect It

• To show live deals and operate core features like search, saved deals, and alerts.
• To track reward actions such as clicks, shares, daily check-ins, and voucher requests.
• To enforce rate limits, duplicate protection, and other anti-fraud controls.
• To show your wallet balance and process Amazon/Flipkart gift voucher redemption.
• To support affiliate redirects and store attribution where OfferMachi links out to partners.
• To understand aggregate usage and improve deal quality and platform performance.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

• Essential cookies and local storage keep you signed in and remember preferences like your theme.
• Advertising cookies may be set by Google and its partners when ads are shown (see section 5).
• You can clear or block cookies in your browser; essential features like sign-in may stop working without them.

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

The OfferMachi website shows ads served by Google AdSense to keep the platform free. The mobile app does not currently include any third-party advertising SDK.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's advertising cookies enable it and its partners to serve personalised ads; you can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).
• You can also opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices.
• Ad interactions on third-party ad content are governed by the advertiser's and Google's own privacy policies.

6. Push Notifications

• Deal alerts use Firebase Cloud Messaging (website) and Expo/Firebase notifications (mobile app), and are strictly opt-in.
• If you enable them, we store a device notification token linked to your browser, device, or account.
• You can turn notifications off anytime from your profile settings, your browser settings, or your device's Android/iOS notification settings; the token is then invalidated.

7. Mobile App Permissions (com.offermachi.app)

The OfferMachi app requests only the minimum permissions it needs:

• Internet access — to load deals and sync your rewards.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — to deliver deal alerts you opt in to, with vibration for incoming alerts.
• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — so scheduled deal alerts keep working after your device restarts.
• The app does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, photos, microphone, SMS, or call logs.
• Clipboard and share features are used only when you actively copy a coupon code or share a deal.

8. How Data Is Shared

• Affiliate networks and partner stores: required referral and order metadata is shared for attribution when you open a deal.
• Service providers: OfferMachi runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, notifications) and similar infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf.
• Legal: we may disclose data when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• We do not sell your personal data for unrelated third-party advertising.
• We do not store your card or payment credentials inside OfferMachi coin services.

9. Data Retention

• Reward and activity records are retained for accounting, anti-fraud checks, and user support.
• Technical logs are typically retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
• When legally permitted, we may remove or anonymize old reward records that are no longer required.
• After account deletion, residual technical logs may persist for up to 30 days before removal.

10. Security

• Data is protected using platform-level controls, restricted access, and secure transport (HTTPS).
• Reward writes are validated server-side with rate limits and duplicate protection.
• No internet service can guarantee absolute security; we limit what we collect so there is less to protect.

11. Your Rights and Controls

• Access and correction: your profile shows the account data we hold; contact us for anything else.
• Deletion: request account deletion anytime from the Delete Account page — profile, coins, and saved data are removed. The same Google account is used on the website and the mobile app, so one request covers both.
• Sign out anytime; browsing deals never requires an account.
• Notification opt-out: disable deal alerts from profile or browser settings.
• Ad personalisation opt-out: use Google Ads Settings as described in section 5.
• Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act, 2023), you may request access, correction, or erasure of your personal data and raise grievances about processing.

12. Children's Privacy

OfferMachi is not directed at children. The rewards program requires users to be 18 or older (or supervised by a guardian). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

13. Where Data Is Processed

OfferMachi uses Google Cloud infrastructure, so your data may be stored or processed on servers located outside India with equivalent safeguards.

14. Changes to This Policy

• We may update this policy as the platform evolves.
• Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
• Continued use of OfferMachi after an update means acceptance of the revised policy.

15. Grievances and Contact

• We aim to acknowledge and resolve privacy grievances within 30 days of receipt.
